Default Polaris warranty... Predator

I've you havent seen my many posts about my "issues" with my 05 TLD,I've had many.

Latest of which was both intake valves have wollowed out the vavle seat.

Of course this happened in July..one month AFTER the 6 month warranty.

I somehow got it covered under the "Polaris Star" warranty. I have never heard of this and never questioned my dealer about it. Just what is it?

Also just so you guys know Polaris put out a service bulltin about bad intake valves..but no recall..figures.

IMO all 05 owners that are having hard starts should immediatley take there quads in.

That Star warranty also came with a fifty dollar deductible..and did not cover a 32 dollar oil change, that needed to be performed..so 82 dollars and change to get the quad in working order..

Better than the $289 invoice that was covered.

Did I mention that it took 11 weeks for the repair also? Polaris says the head gasket is on back order for a month.

So if you do take your quad in...call around to larger national sites for the head gasket..sorry, dont have the part number.

I've seen it on a 05 pred 500 LE and poo covered it under warranty.. No explanation into why it happened. i've also seen it on two 03 preds but these bike were ABUSED and i think it was from lack of oil changes. The 05 had 28 hours on the trail tech when he brought it in. He's done Four oil changes. who knows if polaris even knows why.

I dont think lack of oil changes will have any effect on the valves..it better not.

If that is what you are talking about. A good friend of mine has an 03 with no problems in the valve train.

I paid an extra $200 and got a 4 year Polaris warranty for my 05 Pred. I can take it to any authorized Polaris Dealer if anything fishy happens and I have that one time $50.
