i believe its under the access cover in the front, below/front of your headlight pod....I think on the 2004 you have to remove the front rack, 4 bolts, and then pry up on the cover to get it off....

your problem with your speedo probably isn't a fuse though....does just your speedo not work or does your whole instruments not work....if all of them are not working, then I would suspect a fuse....if its just your speedo, then its probably the Hall Effect Sensor that goes to your wheel from your speedo that registers the speed...

nothing is working on the cluster and i took off the cargo box still didnt see anything that looked like a fuse box. the only thing that i didnt check was one of the waterproof bags i opened one of them and it was like a resistor or somethingm so i didnt open the other one cause it looks the same. but i dont know what would the fuse box look like?

hopefully someone will jump in here, i can't remember on my last machine, which was a 2000 500, but I was thinking there was a fuse panel just like my '05. On my '05 machine, which the plastic and body are of course different, there is a series of fuses, I think 4 of them under the front access cover, they sit high so that the water won't get to them....I looked through the parts manual on your machine....if you want, give me your email address and I'll send you a softcopy of both the parts and owners manuals....my email address is elkbow@comcast.net

no, the fuse panel is usually a black plastic piece that has alot of wires running to it and the fuses plug in on top

i'm only guessing the '04 ATP 500 has one, I'm almost sure it does....like I said, its usually under the access cover in the front, did you remove it....I don't mean the front rack, its towards the pod from the rack, I think you have to remove the rack from what it says in the owners manual to pull the access cover...
