My engine rebuild

Default My engine rebuild

Well i'm finally rebuilding my engine...i am gettin a 87 mm overbore w/ milled head and ported cylinder...my question is what kind of carb, and reeds do i need to run w/ this?? would i be able to get away w/ my stock carb for a while?? any help or other suggestions is appreciated

are you going with a trail or race port?if your trail porting,and dont wanna buy a different carb right away,just have the stock one bored out.for race porting,go with a 39pwk carb for sure.the pwk will work really well on a trail ported cylinder also..
i run v-force reeds and hear of alot of people stating they are the best??whats the reason your going with a 87mm piston?if it doesnt need to be bored that much then i wouldnt go that much.bore it to what you can get away with and save the extra bores for future rebuilds..who are you having do the work?
