I just got a 2000 sc500 4x4 a couple of weeks ago and when i first got if felt alot faster than it does now.For instance the first weekend i had it i raced a 400 ex in the sand and stayed right beside him while i was in 4-wheel drive.Just yeasterday i went riding and my brother has a 300ex and he out run me by a little.I haven't it all that much. and both of those bikes are stock.if any body knows what might be wrong please let me know.thanx for the help.

 

Did you buy it new? If so, that's an awefully short break in period to be racing it already. Hope you didn't do any serious damage...

 

Maybe the guy with the 300 was a better rider than the guy with the 400.

 

I no for a fact that the 500 will beat the 300. Have you got your valves adjusted since your break in or did u even break it in.
