I'm picking it up thurs or fri next week. I seen another guy on here that just bought one too and changed a whole wack of bolts right away. do you think it is necessary to do this or at least go over everything and make sure they are all torqued right. Just wondering what other people do before they start breaking it in.

its not that difficult, i reccomend a small cc dirtbike to learn on, that way theres not a whole lot of power to scare you and its light enough that if you do drop it, you can get away from it fast enough before it hurts you. i learned to clutch and shift on a Honda XR80. that thing didnt have crap for torque but it sure helped me learn. then i went to a Yamaha TTR-125L, then to a Sporstman 800, then to my pred once i start my job in the spring, i hope to start bringing in money as a salesman with comissions and everything and buy another LE Sportsman 800, the rumored Sportsman 950, a scrambler, and a KTM 525 quad

The one in pic 2 I also hit rapped in second, but hadn't been on it before. It's probably really a third gear jump to a plateau (flat) landing.

the 125 is nice, good strong motor that i ran the crap out of, little hard in cold weather starting and it dosnt really want to make good power till the motor is hot, not warm, but hot. there are 150 and 175 bore kits out for them, but you have to drill and tap in oil coolers, but they make nice power. id say since your 5'9 your at the full limit of the bike, but as far as im conserned for doint stunts and screwing around (like walking the bike) and doing wheelies, its all you'll ever need. it has a 2 valve head, and yamahas GYTR aftermarket stuff has a 4 valve high performance head that doubles the power.
