I love reading this forum. I have gained so much from the info provided by the rest of you. That is the technically informative part of the forum. However, the entertaining and often hilarious part of the forum is when people start stating "facts that aren't true." Such as the speeds of various bikes, or race comparisons. Seems there are so many different opinions and arguments to such topics. I'm not pointing fingers or tryng to insult anybody, I'm just trying to point out how funny it can be. I hope ya'll are getting as much of a laugh out of some of it as I am. Thanks for the tech help AND the entertainment.

Stuff are fun, and other are instructive.
There are times I really laugh thinking of the guys behind their PCs getting nervous "No I'm right, what the h*** is he saying...I'm gonna show him"

I agree 100%. It is entertaining as long as it`s looked at that way by the person reading it. There is a lot of info to be obtained here as well.

I do wonder if some of the people arm chair race this much in person to strangers?

Usually the people who get all upset are the ones that feel threatened by what the others are saying. So what if yours is faster?! So what if mine kicks your Shee's butt in the mud?! (inside joke) It's all for fun.

The only time I get upset is when a new-comer to the sport is looking for a ride and gets the wrong info. The kind of comment like "Polaris sucks!" That does not seem right, but hey...thats life. Ignorant people with ignorant comments make us all look smarter!! LOL

Besides that, all the technical info is usually A-1 in here. It has helped me save a buck or two so far. Some guys on these forums are litterally quad geniouses! I posted a silly question this week and got about 15 replies...praise the forums!

 

One thing that I noticed, is that in most forums you can read regularly "don't get a polaris, they suck..bla bla bla"....just pure quad bashing. On the polaris forum, there are very little of those unuseful comments. Cool.
Maybe polaris owners are wiser...still it's great to read stuff without real criticisms.
Inside joke ending. I still can't figure what pipes I'm gonna put since no one will hold on for good!

 

Zorro, how did you know Polaris owners are wiser? Anyway I agree with the original post. Nothing wrong with a good joke or fun, as long as it isn't mean spirited. Any question I ever asked always seemed to get several good answers, better than I could think up myself (with the occasional smart alec response - you know like brand x sux)
By the way, your signature says you have a hitch on your Banshee. What in the heck do you pull with a Banshee? Do you drive along the beach & pull waterskiiers or something? Or is it something more akin to a lawn seeder? Just curious

We have 2 trailers at home. One is the big (and heavy) 2 snowmobile trailer and the other is a 4x8 "quad" trailer.
Pulling by hand and alone the big one really bothered me, and at that moment, we were going to the "forest" at the end of our street to get trees to put in the backyard (so we have a chance to survive this summer).
So we simply put a hitch on the banshee to be able to pull the trailer 2 miles away, put a tree inside and back home.
It's been simple and costless...why not do it?
Now when I cut the grass, it's easy to put the trailers in another place...getting them back into place is another deal (no reverse..aaaaah).
But look at the pics on the site and you'll quickly understand that it's far from a heavy duty hitch. It's just to pull the trailer from place to place, if it has good balance. Knowing this is enough so I don't wreck anything.
If brian (Xplor) comes riding this weekend, I'll snap a pic of his long 2 quad trailer attached to the shee, that'll be fun!
To resume, it's costless and a quite useful when saving your back...easier to push the shee backwards (even with the trailer) than holding and pushing the trailer in the numerous holes of the backyard (I suspect them to "grow" deeper when I move the trailer). But as I said, it's not tough (see the pics on the site, and you'll get it)
You're not the first one to ask what's the use of a hitch on a banshee. The answer: almost none...except being different in one of the most useless (and cheapest)ways.hehe.

 

Too bad I have to go hunting this weekend...I should be happy because I have been waiting one year to go! The weekend after we will most definately ride...

My Scram will be all better by then...then it's off to the dealer with the Xplorer...hub seals!

 

i will have to say i appreciate most of the people in this part of the forum. i havent explored the others ,because i only have one quad.im on aol & a real kick is to go to some of the "motorized rooms". it never fails,,some 25 year old smartass has a 180 mph snowmobile or a 1000 hp viper. what a difference screen life & real life make!!lol!! maybe im just turnin into an ol fart,,but i like at least some truthbased conversation!! later,gang need to find tips on soupin up my 400 4x4 scrambler. (ritter sure seems to be a nice guy}
