is the 06 sport 800 a gen 6 and is a 700 the same frame. looking @ bidding on a winch on ebay which says it fits a gen. 6 600&700 sport.

 

i assume you mean sportsman... b/c the sport was discontinued a LONG time ago... sure would be sweet tho, an 800 sport.... but i digress. i believe that the new sportsmans are the Gen 6 machines, not 100%, but pretty close... either way, all the new sportsmans are this gen body work. and with some work, that winch will fit on anything.

 

Safe your self a lot of trouble and get the warn pure polaris 2500ci on ebay ive seen them aslow as 300 get one on ebay from Breese lawnand garden for 350.00 but there a polaris dealer and there a great bunch of people ive bought a lotta stuff from them....the pure polaris warn 2500ci comes with everything and your prewired on your 800 took me 30 minutes to install mine..

 

Gen 6 models are the 04 and 04.5 sportsmans.

 

im just going to get the 3000 lb. warn thru the dealer. i want the extra strong one and you get the whole kit.
