Default CV joint blown I think

I took the wheels off my 05 sp500 this weekend to clean it and noticed the lower rear cv joint is twisted 180 degrees and grease is leaking onto the inside of my rim and around the joint. My quad is less than 4 months old. Should this be covered under warranty?

If it is just a torn boot Polaris will not cover it. If the CV broke and tore the boot then they will cover it. Boots they say is ware and tare. To have them fix it will be about 120.00 for you to fix it will cost about 25.00 and an hour of your time.

If you have a good dealer they will possibly cover it for you.

Like bigdog said, doing it yourself is the best way. I have had bad luck with these boots and have changed almost a dozen. It takes me 10-15 minutes now.

Do you have a service manual? If not, now is a good time to get one. It's about 50 bucks at the dealer, but has detailed instructions to do everything. When you realize that avoiding one hour of dealer labor pays for it, you can see it is a very worthy investment.
