Default 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke

I'm split on this one.......I agree with Raj in that the 4 strokes are very powerful, and very dependable. Their power is much different than a 2 strokes.......in that it has torque(or feels like it)......The 4 strokes on today(preds, rappys, and bombs) are very fast......when heavily modded. This does take much more money than to mod an equivilant 2 stroke however, but that is what you have too.......is a 2 stroke that can only run in a strait line......and probably only runs good about half the time. These 4 strokes that are decently built(not the extreme builds) can run the trails, and dunes. I know Doug's boy, has a stage 2 or 3 kit in his pred, for mx and xc.......and that is a pretty fast/built motor right there.

So in conclusion, I guess I agree partialy with maddog and raj.......both are right.......just some grey areas in your arguements.

Can't we all just be friends...?

ohh no no no,, out of the box a 2 stroke vs 4 stroke the same cc's,, 2 stroke will crush the 4 stroke everytime. 2 strokes are lighter, very simple and when dailed in right you will have no problems..

2 strokes have more power when equally matched to 4 stroke,, plain and simple

TextText I have a couple Questions. I just wanna know if the circle race comes back to Corning iowa are the Nicholas boys planning on coming back to run. I was their this summer watched they did ok but i see that Banshee was sure running their *** bad. But other then that they ran good. Then my other Question is i Have scrambler 400 with no real big mods besides a jet kit an exhaust and a K&N airfilter. I was wandering what my chances are running with a stock Kfx 400???

The 2 vs 4 has been done to death. Let's get some real comparisons. You know, Ginger vs Mary Ann, chocolate vs vanilla, cool whip vs cream whip.

I'd have to go with Mary Ann covered in chocolate and topped off with cool whip. That'd be the ultimate combo right there...
