I have heard rumors of a new two stroke from Polaris for 2006. I am sorry if this subject has been asked before but I am fairly new to this part of the forum. Also I thought that production of two strokes had to be stopped by a certian date. Is this true?

i havent heard of a new 2-stroke but who knows it could happen i have heard the same thing about brp. as for your other ? i dont think it has as much to do with the strokes as it has to do with the exhaust. 2-strokes just arent as efficent as 4 when it comes to burning fuel.

the only way polaris would be able to make a 2stroke quad would be to use their Clean-Fire technology from their 2stroke snowmobiles and impliment it

2 strokes will not be banned if the emissions is good. There are 2 stroke outboard boat motors that burn 60% cleaner than 4 stroke motors. It is very possible for a 2 stroke to burn cleaner than a 4 stroke. There are alot of snowmobiles and jetskis that are 2 strokes and they burn very clean.
