Default k&n filter on 800 sp

went to my dealer today to sch 10 hr check up. ask about putting a k&n filter on it they said they don't make one for it or not to put one on because of the fuel injection. they said it will give it to much air and mess up the sensors??? is this true?? also people keep writing in and ask what is faster the 700 or the 800. or the 800 or the grizzley? well I can only say ive been with them all and left them wondering why they even try. the 800 will rip the trails up and plowes through snow like a untamed anamal, and at the end of the day will still go home and pull your garage down. pic and video comming thanks for help on this question.

Default k&n filter on 800 sp

I've had a K & N filter on my 05 800 since December 04 and have had no problems. I can't tell you if thier was an increase or not, it's been along time since I ran it without. If I remember right I think it made it take off a little faster off the line.

K & N part # pl-1003 is what it says on the K & N website. I'd order from them, It will probably get to you faster with less difficulty.

Bubby I got 2 2005 800EFI and your dealer is a complete moron...The K&N is the cheapest out of the box upgrade to your ATV you can buy...It helped my power and my fuel consumption and your dealer would rather sell you the peice of crap paper filter that if you ride in much dust youll change it several times a year because you cant service it.....the K&N on ebay is around 36.00 bucks and you use the original sock off your old paper filter on it and they are easy to clean as a matter of fact I have bought a couple extra so when I need to clean I can change out and ride and clean the other in my "down time"..
Your dealer would rather pop ya for 20.00 bucks 3 to 5 times a year than see ya go a couple years and only make 40.00 bucks off ya..you can clean the K&N 25 times they say in the instructions..if you have any doubt get on the K&N web site and Lisa Watkins from K&N will email you and give ya answers to anything you wanna know...ride with peice of mind..
