Yes, you need that in the pred. because the oils the same for the trans too. Its a MUST!
Murrays auto sells it for 4 stroke wet clutches, i think Valvoline and Mobil 1 for around $8 a quart. I would stick to sull synthetic.
In the sportsmans we can run full syn 0w40 because the trans fluid is seperate (and its an auto).

you're right, they don't give the stuff away, maybe there is a distributor/dealer in your area so you could avoid the shipping cost. as a preferred customer the price is $5.45 per quart, which isn't bad, but there is still shipping. I became a preferred customer and put in larger orders with friends to make it more cost effective. just an idea...
