...... from my dealer to tell me that the new style oil lines they ordered for me had arrived. Told me if I could get it to them this afternoon, they'd have it ready to pick up before noon tomorrow. When I arrived there, I had the service writer look at my rear disc and pads, cuz I had some suspicions about them since the day I brought her home. At first he said the scoring on my rotor was from a rock getting in between it and the pad. Then I made him look at the pads and he said "WOW, you've already worn out your pads, there's nothing left." He told me that either my wife or myself must have been riding with the hand brake locked on for this to happen. I let him know that we weren't as dumb as we look ! After I showed him that we hadn't even worn the rubber nipples off the tires yet, he kinda went "Humm...". Said he'd have the tech check into my rear brake situation.

Something seems amiss. It has been my experience that Polaris wants happy customers and should fix the brakes as long as the dealer will stand with you to say you weren't abusing anything. You could point out that if you drove with the parking brake on, it should have worn out all the brakes, not just the rear. That is unless you were driving around with a cinder block on the right footrest.

Its been a long know fact that Polaris stock brake pads just plain SUCK.Under NO condition should you reinstall Polaris stock pads.Go with their Severe duty pads, they simple last alot longer than stock and you'll be much happier,

About two wks ago I spent $60 for front shoes for my Xplorer. It is the first set I have replaced since I bought her in 1996. I hope those will last another 4 yrs.

Loyal,
concider yourself one out of a million. Its also my guess [im sure im right] that you ride very little or no mud.You probably travel for longer/higher speeds than most to.

If not,im betting your quad has very few miles on it?====Bill

At least your lucky your dealer has those oil lines. My dealer doesn't believe anything i told him. My dad and I are going there this week to give him you-know-what for ignoring me, him, 4 e-mails, and 4 phone calls. Wish me luck...
