Lubing bushings

Default Lubing bushings

I was wondering if I need to lube the bushings on my atv? And if so, what to lube them with

If it has a grease fitting then just use any good quality grease.

If it does not have a grease fitting leave it alone.

Like cornbread said if it dont have fittings then leave it alone. Grease and other lubricants attract dirt and dust. The bushings are not sealed and if you grease them it will cause more problems later. Yes they do dry out, get loose and noisey but not much you can do about except replace them. I did all the bushings in my brotherinlaws sp600 and it is like a new quad. Quiet and smooth but I know another 2yrs from now I will be doing it again. The absolute worst thing to do to a quad is go mudding and not wash it after you get home. Mud is the cause of most suspension and drivetrain problems because people do not maintain them after the ride. I wash my mud trucks after every event.
