Plowblade systems, worth the money?
#1
First of all let me say hello to everyone. I am new here and this is my first post.
I have a 2005, 700 twin and I'm interested in getting a Polaris plowblade system soon. I just wanted to know how effective pushing snow or dirt is with this model. Do you need to move material a little at a time with several passes or just go for it in one pass? Also, which blade to use for both snow and dirt? Polaris offers so many choices. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Definetly. I have a 700 EFI and have the glacier plowsystem with a 56inch razor for snow and a 56inch v-plow for dirt. I have never had any issues moving what I wanted. Just before the snow, I moved 12 tons of gravel in my driveway.

i have a winch and blade for mine i have about a thousand foot long driveway going down steeply at the end it is all gravel and mud now unless the snow is very heavy and wet you can plow at will werever however fast you want i also plow about 3/4 of a mile of tar and chip road to the main road high range about 15 to 20 mph blade angled and the snow just a flyin i have also moved loose dirt and gravel but you must tie your blade off so it doesnt trip on you

Welcome to the forum!
I think you’ll be very pleased and maybe even shocked at how much snow you can move with your machine. The amount of moisture in the snow, what kind of surface you’re on and how far you’re pushing it will have a lot to do with what kind of depth you can handle and how many passes it will take but unless you’re trying to move more than a 20” snowfall all at once that machine will do the job.
I’m not a big fan of using them for gravel or dirt but that’s because I have a tractor. If I didn’t I’d probably use my ATV for that too although I’d be careful. My tractor buckets and blades are much heavier than any ATV blade and depending on the composition of the material it can be quite abusive.
