Default 700efi frontend spacers

new to the forum. got a question regarding the value of frontend spacers. my 05 700efi tends to be a little soft in a aggressive turns @ 25-30mph, requiring me to brake. would front end spacers help me out in these situations? polaris offers them as plow accessors @ $15. How difficult would it be to put these on?

I've heard they don't work really well. I've seen new higher rate springs work good though.

Is there a preload adjuster on the front springs? If so, have you adjusted that to make the springs stiffer? I have the rubber coil spacers on my Xplorer for plowing and they do help in keeping the front end from sagging when I lift the plow. If you're looking for something cheap and easy to keep the front from squatting, they're the way to go. They are not difficult to put on. You put dishwashing soap in the grooves of the spacer and they slide right on. I put two in each front spring and it took 10-15 minutes for all four. Just so you do know, they will not provide any type of lift for the front, just prevent it from squatting a lot. I have pictures of the spacers installed in my gallery. Just click on the camera to the left.

Hope that helps....

Don't buy the spring spacers from Polaris they do nothing at all. I installed custom 2" spacers on both my machines and they are great. Check out my pics. the ATP has the same springs as my sportsman. The lift gets rid of the tires off camber and makes the machine handles awsome.

the springs in the back are adjustable, not the front coil springs.

Where do you get higher rate springs at? I get a bunch of sag with all my camping gear...I usually end up packing more on the racks than is recommended...this would be very helpful since my ground clearance diminishes while riding into the camp spot.
