Default scrambler engine conversion to 4-stroke

what year 400??

4x4 or 2 wheel drive

goto polaris website into the parts and check out the differences between the two machines
scrambler 400 and scrambler 500
order the corrosponding parts
mounts
wiring
starter or whatever you need

if the 400 you have is the same year that a 500 was offered I can't see the swap being too tough

but if your model year never came with the 500 then you may be in for alot of your own fabrication work

well if both are say 98 to present 400 or 500 the conversion would be pretty straight forward
