Thanks, any idea how the EPI springs compare to the Ranger springs ?

a friend just put the ranger springs on a 500..we have not had a chance to test them on a ride yet..

Yeah, keep us posted. I went out and bought the spacers that kj referenced at Home Depot. They were only $4 each so I figured I would go that route first. Don't have them on yet to give any feedback.

How did you install the spacers? Do you need any special tools ?

Would a set of COIL SPRING COMPRESSORS FOR VINYL-COATED & NON-COATED SPRINGS make it easier?

Yes you need to use a spring compressor

Whats the best way to get em in there...do you take the whole strut assembly down from the top bolt or separate the shock from the strut in the middle.

Yes you need to disasemble the strut from the top. Put the spacer on under the spring with the factory washer ontop of the new spacer and reinstall..
