Default Do 26" Tires Change Speedometer Reading?

I just put 26" Mudlite xtr's on to replace my 25" stock tires, Does that change the speed on my speedometer? Or did i lose top end speed? Thanks for any help!

Changing tire size always affects the speedometer. Your speedometer will show you going slower then you really are. A friend of mine put on 28" mudlites ,originals were 25" , for every ten miles he loses a half mile on his odometer.

Thanks for the reply, i thought i was losing my mind when i first put on the tires this afternoon, now i know why ! I'll get the GPS out tomorrow and check it. Is there any way to calibrate the speedo/odometer for the larger tires? Thanks again.
