does anybody know what the DB is on the RCR silencer...........man that thing is loud. I might have to quiet it down some so the neighbors dont get mad. I was just wonderin because the quiet muffler from HPD is 90 DB.....I just wanted to know how much quieter it would be........thanks

 

The hpd mt quiet muffler is a lot quiter than the ritter silencer. I have both and will be getting another hpd silencer to quiet down my other quad!

I carry the Hpd MTQ in stock . It is pretty quiet , problem is it costs twice as much.

Another alternative is to get a factory muffler from a sport or Scrambler - it will fit right on your 250 with a special mounting bracket . (I'll give you one - just pay the freight --> $8 )

are you reffering to the 400 RCR silencer?
why are you bashing it?
i run one on my scrammy for 3 seasons yet,it actually the better "flowing" silencer i tried on a modded 400 yet,and i tried many of them
(hot seat,hpd,aaen,dynoport,chopper city,...)
the sound is just a piece of cake.

 

no im talking about on my 250..........dont get me wrong it does give u very high flow and i love it. I actually start it up occasionally just to hear it rumble........i just dont want to get to many people mad.........and my dad wants to keep good relations with the neighbors.......i am lucky though one of my neighbors already says he loves to listen to it when i ride.......hope the other one does too

 

The 414 cc kit works fine with the stock muffler , but of course it works better with our exhaust. Our latest mufflers are mabe by FMF and they come with spark arrestor and quiet core . Customers tell me with the quiet core installed it is almost as quiet as stock .
