Default 06 predator

Hey everyone I have a 2002 kawasaki mojave that i just sold and Ive been looking at new bikes. So for now its between the z/kfx/dvx 400, predator, or 450r. I live in Maysville Kentucky and Ride mostly on wooded trails. I know that the 400's are good trail bikes. But I found a 06 predator brand new for 5399 not counting taxes. the 400s are right at 5299 and the 450r is at 5999. I was just wondering how fast the Pred is against these and how well of a woods machine it is. Also how well will it hold up I dont want to buy a quat and have it blow up on me within 6 months so i just want to know what everyone suggests??

Thanks

Trey

well in my time of running my 06 predator at Bucks run and other places, ive found that the Predators are the fastest along with the 450r. a 450r will and can beat a standard geared predator, although the TLD with its close ratio gearbox makes its acceleration quite a bit faster, allowing it to be as fast and in a few cases thanks to a better suspention and wider stance, faster. its larger diameter piston also adds a considerable ammount of torque over the 450r.

i think the Predator is the best bang for your buck, it comes with so much more than the other brands offer out of the box. the TLD's get Fox Podium X shocks, which are nearly as good as elka's and as good with triple rate springs and valved correctly. you get nice Maxxis tires, Douglas rims, and the LE's even get Maxxis Razr 2 tires and a White brothers exhaust, right from the factory.

good luck with your upcoming purchase, if you have any other questions i can help

I would say go for the pred over any other quad if you are doing trails. Polaris built that quad with trails in mind and they did a GREAT job. I have had mine for over a year and it has been going strong, except for a battery problem, which seemed to be a fluke. If your dealer has one, get the TLD or LE model. It is a little bit more money but definitely worth it!

I would also say the predator.

unless your going to race MX then the 450's otherwise the predator is the best machine.

And for the money the pred is an easy choice i would think.

if it has traction, it will climb

and the LE with the close ratio and that exhuast will make wheelies a snap. if your ever over by bucks run, look for a black predator with nerfs, aand thats me!

Thanks for all the input. Ohhh what is the top speed factory? Where exactly is bucks run?? cause Im always looking for good places to ride. Although we do have a great place to ride right here in maysville, It is Big Rock atv park im sure that some on here have heard of it. There is always people from other states going there to ride. Plus this past summer my cousin and I logged the whole place. We probably added 20 miles+ of trails to the already 35+ mies of trails. There is 1,775 +/- acres to ride on. It is an awesome place to ride you should make a trip up here to ride there you ride there and you will know why I want a bike that can climb hills and is a good trail bike. Its located 60 miles approximately 1 hour east of cincinatti Ohio on the double A highway. Now that we have logged it all of the existing trails and roads are in much better condition and the ones that we added are awesome. There is something for everyone. Spyder you should email me at treygallenstein@hotmail.com and let me know if you are interested in coming up here and riding. I know the WHOLE place like the back of my hand and it would def be worth the trip. Hills natural tracks i guess you could say and a couple of places to drag race. Its really really nice. Plus you could stay up here for a whole weekend and stay at my house I live exactly 3 miles from the park so its nothing to get to the park. Right around the first of november was the last time I was there because my mojave is not in that good of shape right now. Even then I borrowed my cousins 450r to ride, but that was the first time I had riddin on it since we logged it and Its PERFECT lol. You should seriously think about coming up here. Email me if you would like. ANYONE can email me if you like I will tell yoou more about the Park or any information you would like to know. I have seen some Pred. riding at big rock and I really liked the way they looked and they looked fast. I just wanted to make sure its faster and just as reliable as a 400ex cause my mojave will beat a 400ex so lol. Well let me know if anyone wants to know more about the park. Especially if you live in Kentucky it is well worth the drive. You should def try and make a trip up here to ride. There is also an indoor mx track not far from here in Germantown Kentucky wich is like 25 minutes from maysville. Let me know you would like to come up and ride cause im always looking for people to go with me. ttyl...thanks to everyone.

bucks run is about an hour outside of Louisville in Bedford. your place is a good 3 hours from me, and considering i dont even have a licence, that might be a toughy to get out there.

My son has an 03 Predator, still stock. Tough bike, strong off the line if you can get traction. Will take most bikes off the line but step son's modified Banshee eventually passes, daughters 400EX not even close. My Sp800 will match it off the line but it is quickly on past. The Banshee has climbed ever hill execpt Widow Maker at BigRock, because Jay says he has a family to feed, the Predator has also, as Ray's experience level has increased. The Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word tor rides and handles well for a sport quad. Great job on the new logging trails, really opened up BigRock, have ridden many times. bob.........
