Race Mod Case Saver?
#2
We needed one a Glamis ride ago. At the top of Oldsmobile Hill the BUBBA BIKE started running off on us and we couldn't shut it down. Kill switch didn't do any thing, pulled the spark plug wire and it just kept reving up and up and up, shut off fuel and plugged off air box with shirt and sand. It ran another 5 minutes, you could see the cylinder and head jumping up and down while it reved so high. When it finally stopped we towed it back to camp. Pulled the rope and it started up again, what a quad. A Honda rider freaked out with the rest of us.
This is the quad below.

If you didn't believe in God before, you will after you ride her!
Going up Olds hill at Glamis you can't keep it WOT all the way, it just wheelies, get going at WOT and back down to half to two thirds and still have to let off before the top, it is just to scary.
Drag racing at home, it smokes a Raptor on top end, mid, bottom, no race at all. Kid brought over a 416cc 400EX Honda all fixed up and race ready. After the race he relized he had a little faster stock 400EX. In a half mile race, I shut down and turned around to see him passing a little over the half way mark.
BUBBA did a great job on this thing, and it is dependable too. Ran over 60 gallons of Methanol this summer just playing in my yard.

Its a pain at first. But after a while its no big deal. The power gain and the reduced fuel cost in itself is worth it.
One other little problem, sometimes finding Methanol is fun. But a lot of big Gas station have Methanol pumps. I was buying from Phillips 66, but now I buy mine from VP in 55 gal drum.
After you are finished riding you have to purge engine with race gas and 20 to 1 oil mix. At Glamis this year I will try WD-40 until the end of day then us fuel.
Power valve carb. ( have yours converted) fuel pump and your ready to go.

By the time you use almost twice as much and still have to get race fuel to purge, the cost is almost the same in my opinion! It would take no time for me to run through 60 gallons of methanol! There is some gain but in my opinion the headache was not worth it!
