Have a 2000 Scrambler 500 made in Oct 99. It has steel floorboards and aluminum wheels. The floor boards are holding up fine but the wheels are a different story. I think they should put reinforced alum wheels on the Scramblers. Sure it would cost a little more but it would save on the frustration factor. Am running tubes in the rear and am changing the fronts to race rims.

My 98 Scrambler 500 has steel floorboards and aluminum rims. The previous posts that Polaris stock rims suck is true. Mine were bent all to heck and I didn't even think I was riding it that hard. I now have Douglas .190 rims. They still bend at times but not nearly what the stock ones were. I should take pictures...the back ones actually look square. My old Yamaha stock rims held up much better than that.
