Default predator vs 700r

now i know some of you guys are gonna say 700r rite away without thinking and some are gonna say predator but i want some facts on why i am hoping on financing one of those bikes in a couple of months. i love the feel of the predator and i think it has an amazing amount of power but i know the 700r is a beast.
but im not sure i trust the whole efi concept.

I have a predator and love it I am not a huge fan of the raptor but not sure about the 700 I just know the Predator is tried and true and this is the first year for the raptor so I wouldn't buy it until they have all the bugs worked out hopefully that helps a little.

im not sure you could go wrong with either but dollar for dollar your best buy will be the predator LE or TLD because of the aftermarket fox podium shocks and razor tires on dougless wheels and with the LE you get an Whitebrothers exhaust. Thats about 2grand in extras compare to the raptor.

What hoopie said...I'll add to that also it really depends on where your priorities are during the purchase and after you have the quad. The predator is going to mod up much easier than the 700r will also IMO. Still not allot of aftermarket for the 700r, but more stuff coming out all the time. Also, if you do any intake or exhaust mods, you have to change the EFI controller on the 700r. It is not self adjusting as some people think.

For the same money, you can have a much better quad with the Pred...again, IMO. Notice, I said better, not faster...jury still out on that one.

as for the EFI adjustment, a Dynojet tuner costs about $300 USD

I LINED UP WITH A BONE STOCK 700 RAPTOR ON MY 04 TLE STOCK OTHER THAN A DROP IN KN AND WON 5 OUT OF 6. WE SWITCHED RIDERS AND THE OUTCOME WAS THE SAME.

Yea, well check a couple other threads where Preds were kicking it and you'll see "it's all about the rider".

Default 700r vs predator

I've ran across one Predator with my piped & jetted Raptor. I know the Predator had some work done, but don't know exactly what. I have a 01 660r. Raptor's in stock trim are choked up, but piped & jetted ones brings out the animal in them. The Predator lost to my bike, but I do admire the Predator!!!! Also, that same Predator beat my friends stock 03 Raptor. Two Raptor's vs Predator with different results......

i ran the same 700 after it was piped, filtered and with the programer and that was a different story. the 700 is great for torque though i rode it alot doubles at nite with the girl that owned it(she drank to much and wanted to go nite rideing)and was very impressed at how effortlessly it pulled two people around. i just piped and jetted the pred as well as installed the clamp on kn and can't wait to give it another go next trip to the sand.
