Default 2004.5 700 srortsman problem

I have 2004.5 700 sportsman and a few days ago it started to bog from the start.Tryed adjusting needle up then down with no difference.Tryed new plugs seemed to help a little.Upon further riding it seemed not to be a bog off start but seemed to be out on a cylinder. If I start off slow and accelerate slowly its fine but open trottle quickly and it seems to be working on one cylinder for a while till rpms go up and I can feel second cylinder cut in and it comes to life.Try to start off fast and it sounds muffled and has no power, only happens when open trottle fast.Sounds like A single till other cylinder cuts in.Can even here it at idle sometimes second cylinder cutting in and out.
Any ideas?

I have the same wheeler and would check the following...
Spark plug wires?
Air Box Contamination?
Possibly the throttle cable adjustment?
Is there a chance you may have taken on any water in the fuel system?

This must be an EFI 700?

checked plug wires seem good.
checked air box and cleaned
water maybe
no play in throttle cable.
going to play with air fuel screw if I can find It
Which is pilot and which is air/fuel screw may its just because of cold temps here now
its 700 carb

I bet I can help you out before you go any further....
There is an overflow fuel line at the top of the carb theat comes out between the fuel tank and the seat...
May or may not have a red dust filter on it.....
Remove your Air filter cover and your air filter and blow into that hose as hard as you can... I use the air compressor myself.
This will purge the carburator into the airbox.
Clean up the airbox...choke the machine and start it up.

This also works great when you have dunked the wheeler in the creek....
Only happened a couple of times..... Gotta learn the hard way here!

carb update page 1

carb update page 2

there was also a problem with the spark plug wire(s) getting pinched in frame and shorting, might be worth it to double check. many of us have had good results after having the update installed.

It should be located around the piece of foam padding between the front of the seat and the gas tank....
This hose should be clear from obstructions and used to purge the carburator.
Once you find this clear hose (Should have a red dust filter on it, if not get one to put in there)you won't be dis-appointed.

Like I said.... I have revived a number of ATV's after being dipped in the water by simply purging the carburator. Even helped a newer honda with the same issue.

thanks I will give it a try
are the pilot and fuel screw on bottom of carb?
I got winter update done last winter and I checked that one screw has brass plug removed.
Which one would this be?
and is the other close by it?

that screw is the fuel screw and should be turned out 2.5 turns and adjusted from there per the instructions in the update. only other screw I'm aware of is the idle screw with has a large knurled end on the left side of carb.
