Default Scambler vs. Wolverine?

I am in the market for a new quad, and am considering a 4x4 sport, and I believe there are ony 2 choices, the Scrambler, and the Wolverine. Has anyone compared the 2? I like the way the 4 wheel drive works on the Wolverine, but I am a Polaris fan. Any help would be great!
Does the 4 wheel drive on the Scambler work OK?
Thanks,
Curt

if 4WD traction is a priority then go with the Polaris, the Wolverine only has a limited slip front from what the website says. this means the Yamaha only has 3WD when one of the front wheels has less traction than the other because the more slippery side will recieve all the power while the other just goes along for the ride. the Polaris on the other hand sends power to all 4 wheels when AWD is selected and the rear wheels spin 20% faster than the fronts. the Polaris system is both seamless and automatic with the AWD switched on. believe me, it works, and works well, I tow hundreds of pounds uphill through snow and mud and always make it up.

Thanks for your reply, I have not ridden either Quad, only listened to many salesmen selling what they have. I know the Yamaha salesman talked at one point about the Grizzly's diff lock feature, but when we started talking about the Wolverine, he lead me to believe that a diff lock could be purchased from Warn. I didn't call him out on this, and I can't find anything out about one. He also said the Scrambler was a dated design / model and that the Wolverine was a all new model. Please note that he doesn't sell Polaris, and that I was wearing my snow check Polaris jacket! Everything I have read on the Wolverine says that it is a rebadged utility quad, with minor updates and sport body plastic, NOT an all new design.
I was not aware that the Scrambler front wheels both pulled, good to know! The sales info on the full Polaris line is vague at best, nice to know what colors they come in I guess?
Anyone else have anything to add?

to me thats one good thing about polaris that makes a big differnce to me and others i would guess, that they are a true awd verse most if not all ( not sure) limited slip models or the locker kind which requires another step to do. i think my buddys 750 brute you actaully have to hold in the lever to keep in the locker. that to me would be a pain in the a..

Polaris AWD makes perfect sense on a sport quad, you can turn it on if you think you might need the extra traction and the machine does the rest for you without any stopping or difficult steering. power to all four when you need it and just the rear when you don't, couldn't get any easier.

Scrambler all the way. The old wolves, were powerred by a de-tuned warrior derivative, and my scrambler absolutly rends warriors in the straight line. I know this new motor is the Kodiak motor (or a derivative) so lets compare that to the heavier 500H.O. not very fair is it? the Polaris 500HO motor is a work of art, and is extremely reliable. my 500HO scram starts first time everytime. also: the scrambler has better suspension, and better AWD (the wolverine won't enter AWD mode unless you're going under 5mph according to ATV sport... WHO HAS TIME FOR THAT?!?) also, the scram motor is more buildable, having more after market support. overall, i'd say with the Scrambler 500 you can't go wrong.

The Scrambler is unreliable.

EXACLTY!!! the scramble is "DATED" not OUT dated which means its been around for a while and all the nooks and crannys have been worked out of it, another thing wiht the 500 fuji motor being aorund for a while it has lots a mods that will make it a power house(not that it isnt already)

ive seen a few sportsman 500s roll in the shop for a rebuild with almost 20,000 miles on the ORIGINAL motor i think that is fairly impressive

will my 500 ever reach 20,000 miles... ha... highly doubt it but it does have 3000 miles of shear abuse and she still starts like the day i bought it
