Help: Predator Jetting
#1
Well I recently bought a Nicholas Cycle drag pipe and a Rath K&N intake. I got 157.5, 160, 162.5 mains to start with. I read raths instruction and put the 160 in, needle in 4th, fuel mixture screw at 1-1/2 turns out.. i fired it up sat there till it was warmed up i got on gave it gas and it died rode it a lil more and couldnt get it even close to the rev limiter befor it cut out. check the plug.. it was white so i put the 162.5 still the same thing so i tried putting the stock intake back on and it ran great with the slip on.. I then went to the Polaris Store and got the biggest jet the had being a 167.5 put it in.. it didnt work either i put the needle in the 5th and air/fuel screw 3 turns out and it still was working so does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow, I got to tell ya, that seems like allot of flow for a 160. Are you sure that's not a typo or you misread it and it supposed to be a 180? Based on what I did on mine, and where it's at (175), I think that would be a good place for you to start.

No its not a typo i looked at the paper many times... It says 160 but ill get new jets ordered.. i also have had sh!tty service from rath racing did you change your needle position or adjust the air/fuel mixture screw

Go about a 50 pilot jet(or 1 size smaller)....the needle on the 4th notch(just a starting point)......and around a 172.5 main jet. This is where I'm running, and it runs about paper sack brown every time I check it.
