Default Scrambler 500 airbox mods

My wife wants to stick with stock pipe. Is modding the airbox worth it still. I am running a stock box with K&N right now.

Is there a simple solution to modding the box. On my KFX 700 it is as simple as drilling 12 1" holes in the lid adding a high flow filter and jetting up.

You cant just go and mod the airbox with the CV carb.It needs a certen amount of engine vacum to opperate.HPD makes a complete airbox mod kit that has all the stuff you need to make it work.
But I would recomend a clutch kit and or a pipe first. For a cheap mod try a polaris green or Daltan blk/white primary spring.
