700lbs ok to catch air?

between fluids and yourself you are closer to 900 pounds. catching air is easy, landing without damage to you or the machine is another matter. realistically you are asking a lot of the chassis and suspension, I wouldn't make a habbit of it. every now and then I grab a little air myself on a nice hump in the yard, there's an apple tree about 10' to the right upon landing. when my wife catches me she always warns that someday I'm gonna nail the tree. let's hope she is way off on this one!

I jump my 500 a lot in a dirt ramp, its fun but dangerous, you have to know where to sit and how hard you can hit the ramp. I can tell where it hits the hardest and it isn't very good on the quad. Just don't expect to have some hang time, its not an aerial dynamic designed quad.
