Cooling Fan Help Please!!
#1
I've got a question for everyone. I've got a 1995 Scrambler and I am just wanting to put a toggle switch on to turn the fan on and off at my leisure. I don't want to rely on the sensor. I've only had the fan come on twice while riding it this winter. Once while pulling a sled pretty hard and once when the radiator started dumping coolant since the drain valve loosened up. How would I wire the toggle switch for this? Please let me know since I am riding this weekend and want to do it before I go out.
Thanks,
Drew

The hot wire coming from the fan and the ground? Then don't I have to run a hot wire to the battery or somewhere else that gets juice from the battery? I think I am understanding what you are saying, but I just want to clarify. I am pretty challenged when it comes to electrical. Thanks

I've never actually done this....I'm just guessing here. But, use a test light, and find the "hot" wire that powers the fan.....if it is before the sensor, you can use it...if not, you'll have to pull power from somewhere else(a pannel or battery).
