My '05 sportsman's belt is starting to slip badly. probably due to my sons need to treat it like a seadoo. is the factory belt ok for longevity around water,or is there some thing that can be done to the clutch/springs to give a little more grab on the bottom end? also who has the best repair manual and where to get it? 962 miles, usually hauling a fat boy (me) and a dead animal carcass.Ive had absolutely zero problems with it till now.

Belts are like oil and water. They don't mix. If you want a better grap and low end get a heel clicker clutch kit. Makes for a good all around shifting.

Its pretty easy, If you have some tools and have done some work on atvs its not hard. Go to
http://atvquadsquad.com and go the the Heel clicker link and find COB and tell him you want one. He can get the kits at a discount. Any and all questions about it are there. You may have to register to talk to him. It is the way to go. You will really see the difference in the woods. I didn't think it helped untill I hit the trails.
