Default problems with my Hawkeye

I now have placed my Hawkeye in the shop for the third time to replace the rear drive shafts. This time both of them broke. They always do it near the transmission and never near the wheel.

Has anyone else had this same problem?

Riding it in a pasture. There are a few small jumps. The machine only gets about 6-8 inches off the ground.

I wish you guys had some ideas as to why this keeps happening. My local dealers tells me that Polaris has had this reported before, but no explanation as to why. They just keep putting in new drive shafts. This makes four in two and one half months.

No those rear shocks aare really stiff and I weigh 200lbs. They have never once bottomed out. I have even asked the Polaris dealer about the shocks. They were unaware as to why these shocks are so stiffly sprung on all of their Hawkeyes.

NOW they tell me that Polaris admits that there is a problem and that they have changed the drive shaft in some unkown way. The only problem is that the new drive shafts are on backorder until MAY!

How long have you had your Hawkeye? How many miles were on it the first time it happened? I just bought one like 2 weeks ago and have only been out once, I went over some seious bumps, logs and rocks and had no problems yet. On the frame it says my build date is 2/19/06 what is yours? Would it be safe to assume mine was built with the new Rear drive shafts? Sorry for all the questions....

The first time it happened it had less than 7 hours on it. We now have 17 hours on it and we have broken both rear drive shafts now twice.
