I looked at an X2 over the weekend and it really looks good in person. But I was wondering about all the issues with the 500 EFI, and this atv using that motor. Are the problems fixed on the 500 EFI yet? Can anyone help me on this subject? Alan

 

I sure hope they are. I should be picking mine up today from the dealer. I haven't heard anything about X2's having any problems lately. Keeping my fingers crossed.

 

I purchased an X2 about 2 months ago. I have heard of the problems they have been having with the 500EFI. None of these have surfaced on my X2.

I rode it yesterday and everything seems to be working great. I really like the quad...

 

My local dealership finally received 8 of them on thursday. 3 are already gone. I have been waiting for them to come in. I am new to atv riding. We just got back from checking it out and my wife and I both loved it. I hope to purchase one in the next couple of days. I believe all the bugs are worked out. I believe that is why it took sooo long for dealers to get them in again. By the way this is my first post on these forums.

Did your dealer mention if that shipment of X2s had the 4-wheel EBS?

 

I can tell you that mine definitely does not have 4 wheel EBS. I was going down a really steep hill this weekend and the rear tires kept locking up. Not sure if I would want 4 wheel EBS though. If it makes all 4 wheel lock up going down a hill.....that should get the pucker factor up!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

I think mine was one of the later shipped ones as well. The stealer just got the quad in the day that I bought it...

 

I don't think that they have the 4-ebs yet. none of the brochures or information that I have been able to find says anything about it. The ebs that it does have seems to work really well.

 

This is my first post...anywhere. I picked up my X2 last week. Love it! When going downhill, EBS kicks in and you dont even need to brake. Dont know about 4 wheel. Does it really need it?? No complaints other than the rattle from the rear seat back latch. Its louder than the engine. Oh Yea! keep forgetting that there is someone else on the back. Almost clothslined the wife the other day when I ducked for a branch.

 

Welcome to the board! I have not riden mine yet but plan to get familiar with it this weekend. I was told that for some reason this latest batch had the problem with the latch on the back. I will see if I can rig something up for the time being. I tried to email Polaris asking about the 4 wheel EBS and what date of manufacturing they started doing it if they even did. I have not heard anything back but will post here when they do. I did email Warn and they are coming out with a Multi Mount for the X2 this month.
