Time for a change
When is Polaris going to redesign the four wheel drive system!!
It’s been the Achilles heel of their platform for years!
I thought when they came out with the center mounted Hilliard it might help, but I was wrong! The new system is worse then the old system (at least it cut in half the problematic Hilliard’s in the system.)
No four wheel drive going down hill, two wheel EBS on older units and a poorly engineered new four wheel EBS and worse of all a four wheel drive kicking in( with the switch off) at the most inopportune time! And I might add, locking up so hard that it’s causing the front hub to eventually self destruct and worse yet the rider to lose control in some cases. There is already a class action lawsuit about this situation.
I love the ride and handling of these machines …….but I am sick of working on and with this poorly designed system.
Please Polaris …..It’s time for a change……a new V twin engine would be nice,
But getting rid of the Hilliard system is a must!.
