snowmobile primary spring on a race mod.
ok guys here we go, i happend to be looking on ebay 2day at primary clutches.
did you know that the almond spring is a primary spring that they use on the 700rmk snowmobile motor.
that made me wonder, what other snowmobile spring kan we use besides the almond for more performance.
polaris makes a stock green/black spring for the 800rmk. i wonder how that would work. probly need some heavy clutch weights.
watch yall think??

if you look up primary springs on the pure polaris website it lists all of them and there "polaris listed " spring rate.
you would have to look up snowmobiles individual snowmobiles to see which one took what.

yeah I saw that when it was new. in the original posters case he is making the power to justify the stiffer primarys(my sig is way out of date). I use multiple springs depending on what im doing as well.
since HPD uses snowmobile springs and has handy rules for what to look for were just looking for a cheaper alternative then buying marked up springs.

Badazz- I know you were looking for a high engagement for your race mod. You may be able to benefit from the snowmobile spring, but I imagine you'll also need different weights. The shift rate of the snowmobile spring may the too slow for your 400 also. Snowmobiles tend to run a helix in their secondary that has a much steaper ramp than ATV's. You may have trouble finding a helix that will work good since the snowmobile helixes are not interchangeable with the ATV secondary.
