one of my buddies is setting his 97 400 race mod up for alky.

he just purchased a 44 millimeter lectron from dennis packard.

he boiled his carb boot to get the carb to fit inside the boot.

the problem is, the boot angles right towards the tranny, causing the dam carb to hit the tranny.

white dog runs an aluminum intake, but he doesnt really have this problem because his bikes a 99 concentric drive so therefore the tranny sits a little farther back.

i believe the aluminum intake will fix the problem, but who makes them??? hes tried packard, ftz, d. shotwell, and hpd with no luck. if anybody knows who makes them or has one lying around i would certinly be intrested

if anybody can help me that would be awsome.

Dennis used to have them or have them made. I guess he will have to have one custom made!

 

i think he tryed dennis shotwell, but he told me dennis gave him the run around for about 6 weeks. wouldnt answer is calls etc.

 

could you strap the carb up? My PWK hits the tranny unless I zip tie it up on the top engine mount.

 

yeap i thought the same thing. i dont even think he kan get the carb in the boot, for the trannys in the way.

I bet someone could weld you one up pretty easy. Ive though about making one but my welding skills are limited. even if its mild steal you could powder coat it. I don;t like the ledge in the stock boot before the reeds.(can't find my white plastic stuffer)
