Default bore sizes for an trailblazer?

I will be getting my quad bored over soon, and l was wondering how big of a bore l should go. I want to be able to use pump gas, l know to leave room for future boring, but i want to get the most power l can. l'm also going to get it ported. Thanks for the info in advance.

A bore job will give you no noticable power gains at all. The port job and a good pipe give you the biggest gains. You want to keep the bore job as small as you can. The FMF fatty pipe is not a good pipe for the 250. The HPD or AAEN pipe is the best pipe. If you are going to do a port job make sure someone that knows Polaris 2 strokes does it. They are tricky on the piston port motors. If you really want great power get a reed conversion. I know you think you have a good pipe because it is an FMF but they are not good for the 250. You can get alot more power from the HPD or AAEN pipe. I had a very highly moded 250 that would beat 400's so I know a little bit about the 250's. So trust me and dont bore more than you have to, do the port job, get a better pipe and tune the clutch. It will run pretty strong. Lighten the flywheel and it will be alot quicker and way more responsive, get a reed conversion and holy crap hold on. The ultimate thing to do is get it stroked with the reed conversion and you will easily hang with the big boys. It all depends on how far you want to go with it, how much money you would be willing to put into it, and how high you want to raise the fun factor of the 250. It is great when you pull up to 400ex's on the 250 and they laugh at you until you pass them and leave them in the dust.

Is the fly wheel lightening really noticeable? Worth it?

Which pipe gives you more power? Did you lighten the fly wheel yourself?

Yes it is very noticeable. You can get trail lightened and keep the starter or race lightened and you have to lose the starter. Both the AAEN and HPD pipe will give the same power. AZ Badboyz has a reed conversion and HPD has one but HPD is more expensive because they have their own reed cage but AZ uses a Banshee reedcage. RCR or AZ can do any motor work but I dont know if RCR does the reed conversion. RCR would be the the way to go for the port job.

Quadman, doing a bore job has nothing to do with the fuel you use. It is only when you raise compression alot that you have to use race fuel or higher octane.
