Had the same problem with my 04 700 efi, was stuck deep in the woods two times once with the fuse and once w/ the pump. Had to be pulled out both times by grizzlys(argh!!!) . I heard this was a common problem with the 04's. Dealer fixed under warranty. Now my bendix spring and flywheel are shot at 800 MI. Glad I got the extended warranty with the bike. Other than that I still love the darn thing.
