I grabbed a K & N off ebay @ Roadrunner- Performance : PL-1003 for SP800 (Check on this, but I believe this will fit yours too)
$29.99 + $7 shipping
As far as jetting goes, every machine is different, as are different combos: K & N only, K & N with slip on or full system etc. Some will need to be richened up, some won't.
For example, I had a 1994 CBR600F2 that I bought brand new (ahh, my first new vehicle ever!!). I bought a K & N filter and a Yoshimura Race-Only slip-on for it soon after I broke it in. I never touched the jets because it ran strong and felt great (and, at the time I had no concept of carburetors). One day at a dyno shootout, this was confirmed. The tech asked me several times, "are your SURE this doesn't have a jet kit?" He was looking at the EGA machine and it was right at 5.5% CO, and was putting out 86 H.P. @ the rear wheel. The other F2's there with full pipe systems & jet kits were putting out 82-85 HP!
So I'd throw it on, then see how she performs and go from there.

The price Smitty4 gave is good on the K&N.But sometimes you can find them cheap on EBay.AS for jetting you wont need to rejet with a filter change.Polaris come rich from the factory.
