is there any easier ways to get water out of the tranny case other then changing the oil repeatedly?

The only thing I could suggest is compressed air and blow out what you can.... add a little oil... repeat the blo-job...and keep going until clear.... maybe move the wheeler forward and back to completely clean the moving parts....
Been done 3 times on my 03 sp 700......

I rebuild Ford transmissions all the time and after cleaning with a pressure washer I use brake cleaner to get all junk and water out. I highly recommend using it to clean out the water. The good thing is it evaporates if you leave it vented for a short time.

If you can get your hands on a gallon jug of WD40, you could fill and flush the tranny a few times with it and probably get most all the water out before you put oil back into it. As Mywayout suggested it would be good to roll the machine around some with the WD40 in it to help get all surfaces coated and purge the water from any nooks and crannies between the gears. I would do this 2 or 3 times and then let it drain overnight so as much as possible could drain out. I've done this on engines and gearboxs that have been flooded before with good results as long as they only had water (no mud or debris) and you do it within a short time after the unit got flooded.(no time for rust to get started) Hope this helps.
