After reading many listings in the ATV forum I chose Polaris. It was a toss up between Yamaha Wolverine and The Scrambler 500. As of Yesterday I am a proud owner of a 2001 Scrambler 500 ( Yellow ). The Polaris dealer knew his product more than any other manufactures dealer. Plus I got a GREAT deal. This machine kicks major butt. My question is regarding general maintenance. What should I do and how often. Most my riding will be woods, mud and soon snow. Any help will be must appreciated. Thank you in advance. Soon I will be asking about mods. When it goes in for the 1st check service I will be doing some mods.

 

Congratulations. I think you made the right choice. A friend of mine rides a Wolverine and really likes it. It's a good bike and he's piped it. But it won't touch my 97 400 Scrambler or his wife's stock 99(or 00?) 500 Scrambler.
