Rick Ritter Stage 1
#1
I just wanted to put in my two cents about rick ritter..... i just got off the phone with him, and he is by far the best person i've ever dealt with. he got me everything i needed and wanted and made it all as smooth as could be... not only did he get my setup for his stage 1 kit just as i wanted it, he also got me the parts to straighten up my steering and a few other things as well.... hats off to an awsome job rick!!! thanks again!

Can't wait to see what sort of gains you get this weekend cbmboy. we'll have to run. maybe i could put my old scrammy up against you and see if you can take that down... bet you could with those parts... speakin' of, how are you setting up the clutches???

crap.... let me think... i'm going with his pipe and silencer... he said its definitly louder, but who cares... as long as i dont go deaf... so it'll sound a bit meaner... and i believe i went with the black orange spring.... he has an orange that has a higher engagement but i kinda like the one we put in last week and i think the black orange will be more like the one you and i put in....
also he's getting me all the extra "tune up" stuff i was thinking of getting... new belt, tie-rod ends, lower stearing bushing (which he said can be a pain to replace but is very worth it) oh yeah and foot pegs. I'm so sick of my feet sliding on those boards... we still gotta find a nut for that shifter, but other than that it should be done...
the parts are gonna take a few days to get in though... scramblerXLE, i probably wont get the parts til next week... then we'll dig in a get her fixed up...

The steering bushing is a pain. Polaris came up with the idea of using rivets instead of bolts. So be prepared for that. The replacement he's sending is an aluminum one if I remember right. Much better part.

yeah ritter told me that.... the old one is plastic and crappy... the new one is aluminium and much stronger.... i'll have to drill out the old rivits and put in some new bolts.... fun fun....

On the steering post bushing it is alot easier if you pull the gas tank.It may seem like more work but you wont cuss near as much.
