I bought a pair of hot grips for my 98 explorer 400. Has anyone installed them on there polaris and how did they work? The directions don't look too bad but not sure what brown wire they are talking about. Anyone that has done this before that has some tips I would really appreciate it.

Also a question on the air filter. Do most of you run your quads without the prefilter on. My dealer said you dont need it unless your are runing in extremly dusty condition

Just installed some on my 00 Xplorer. Just make sure you connect the ground to the brown wire in the ignition (not a ground to the chassis). They will only work if you ground to that brown wire. Hot Grips has a site on the internet that gives pretty good directions.
