Default 39pwk jetting?

When your jetting a 39pwk do you snug the pilot jet up or can you turn it in or out for extra adjustment. Any help in jetting a 39 is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!

If your talking about the air screw it is definitely adjustable. The slow speed jet in the carb can only be changed ,not adjusted. You should be running a 35 pilot and somewhere around a 170 to 178 main with the air screw about 2 turns out from bottom.

Thats exactly what i'm running. I can't find an air adjustment screw on the outside of the carb. There is a place that has a brass plug in the front left side of it, but that is it. Could the air screw be behind the little brass plate or plug? The only adjustment on the outside is the black plastic idle screw.

The air screw adjustment is on the back left hand side of the carb as sitting on the quad. It's just below the intake bell, it's hard to see on the quad unless you know it's there!

I noticed today that the little thin washer that goes under the needle jet is not there. Could that cause me a problem? Also I lost the original washer so will one out of a stock carb work?
