What kinds are out there that I can leave on when trailering? Thanks

gmelvin, It all depends on the quality of windshield you buy. I bought the polaris factory one. I have trailered it both sideways and forword without any problems at freeway speeds. One of my buddies bought a cheapie windshield and lets just say the results wern't that nice! At about forty five the thing started laying down on his hands while riding down a gravel road. I don't think it would take a freeway ride very nice at all.

I found a windshield to beat all windshields or fairings I have seen yet. Its not cheap, but the smaller cheaper fairings made by Polaris and others just don't hack it. Its called "Brush Buster" made by Poly Tach. Its thick polycarbonate, removable at any time, and costs about 380 bucks. You can find it on atvconnection product reviews. I haven't got one yet, but in them 30 degrees below days, it would sure be an asset!

Just by looking at it, I think that the windshield would probably lay itself down while trailering at hiway speeds unless it is really thick (and heavy). From experience I know that your windshield will get scratched up and will eventually be replaced. The replacement costs of this one must be $100+. He would also have to stop using his top light. Just my 02. cents

Sure 300 bucks is steep for a windshield, I was going to make one myself until I saw this one. The shield looks pretty thick, as plastic goes. Hey, I don't represent this company, but I'll tell ya, they've got a product here that will keep you shielded. I know I'll have one once some cash comes my way. Most every other fairing was pretty cheap, but as usual, all depends what you figure will do the job, or just get something to get ya by.

Hey Bill
If you give me your e-mail I will send you some pics of what I think is the ultimate windshield for your Xplorer.

Bill, Check out this one. http://www.atvpartsdepot.com/atvpart...ndshields.html
There's a review in the lastest issue of ATV Magazine, page 56.
