Sportsman 800 Sporty at all?
#1
I am going to test drive a Sp. 800 soon and also a BF750. Is the Sportsman somewhat sporty feeling or is it more utility?
I don't just ride for speed like most. I use my machine to do alot of things, but also like to trail ride.

Actually, I just came acroos a leftover 05 Sportsman 700 efi and was wondering the same thing. I can get it out the door for 6499....... I am in the market for a new quad but not sure which to get yet.......

In my opinion, it is a mixture of the two, sporty and utility. Ive never ridden a scrambler, and have always owned sportsmans, so I may not be a good judge for answering your question however, my 500 and 800 go like hell, ride and handle well, and at the end of the day, my butt isnt sore from being thrown all over the trail. IMO they are great machines for trails, riding double, horsing around gravel pits, mudding, forging streams, and swamp playing.

No offense, but no Cat will be in my future. Even though they have come a long way in the last few years.

What do you not like about them? Im just curious, mine has the kawi V-Twin motor. I noticed you have a Kawi. Dont tell me you dont like the speedrack, or the diff lock, or the ground clearance, or the 3year warranty, ......... Im just wondering what you dont like

the 800 will do what you want it to do. in rankings they place the Bomb 800 in first and the sportsman 800 at first and a half. its too good to be second, but a hair too slow to be first. i feel its the over all best sportutility quad on the market for fit and finish, power, ride and everything else. it would by my first choice, then the BRP800 then a BF750
