I think JB Weld would keep them from spinning . Torqueing the wheel on as the the JB Weld sets is probably a good idea too for a couple reasons .

JB weld is not all that great..... IMO. Its simply an epoxy. I sure wouldnt use it on anything that my life depended on. You may have seen one of their displays at your local hardware or automotive shop where they have a huge gob of it with bolts and washers pertrudeing from it and even tapped with threads. Pretty impressive!!! But whos gonna use it like that? If weld is on your mind.....youre better off useing a welder.
I think the impact could deffinatly break it. Im just going by my own personal experiances with JB weld.

I think all he wants to accomplish is to keep the bolts from spinning during removal and installation . The worst thing that can happen is the bolt will still spin .

I don't think it would hold that good just from what I've tried to use it on motorcycles before. That stuff has to have a pretty be gob to work as good as they show you at the stores. I would trust a simple spot weld much more and if need be it could be ground off very easy.

I think Rick was right with the guys intentions. Would you really want to weld a bolt? What happens when you try to take that bolt off?

The easy solution would be to just buy new studs.

i like ole jb weld! rick turned it on to me. prety good stuff

if your not satisfied with jb, you could always weld the back sides of your bolt/stud to your hub

There are several ways to skin this cat .

New studs are the best way - if you feel like letting go of $50 .

Would think new ones would solve any future problems. May be a little more expensive, but what cost would you put on having to deal with all this again. Hoping the bolt just spun, and wasn't just a tad small and damaged the hub.

jb weld works very well for alot of things. Im not going to say its as good as a real weld but it has gotten the job done for me in a variaty of situations. I hated the stuff becuase I never installed it correct you have to follow the instructions to a T. do the sanding set the epoxy and then do the gradual heating as well. If you do all of these its pretty fool proof.
