2006 Scrambler 500 Fuel Range
#1
Does anyone know the fuel range on a stock tank for the 2006 Scrambler 500? I just bought one but haven't picked it up yet. I normally ride a 50 mile loop on my Arctic Cat on weekends and was wondering if I need to carry fuel on the Scrambler. I had one guy tell me he gets about 75 miles on a tank and another guy tell me he only gets 45 miles on a tank. 30 miles seems like a big difference so I am trying to narrow this down. Thanks for your help.

it will really depend on the type of riding you do. just strait cruising on a gravel road or open trail will warrant the best fuel economy. but when you start getting into snow, sand, mud, or types of terrain that youll need alot of power, your gas economy goes down alot.
when i ride we have a 45 mile loop that has just about all types of terrain you could want. when i get back i usually have right around a 1/4 tank? so total mileage should be up around 50-60 mile range for me.

I have a 06 and the only disappointment I have is the mileage. We do alot of long rides and the Scrambler gets the worst mileage by far of the sport quads in our group. The Scrambler is my wifes and she is the least aggressive rider in our group. My modded DS650 gets much better mileage and I ride like *#@$ ! I was surprised because her previous quad was a Trailboss 325 and it got amazing mileage. I would say 45 to 50 miles per tank on the Scrambler vs. 90 to 100 miles on the Trailboss.
