I saw this article last night. Actually a very good and informative review. It gave the nod to the Polaris in just about every category. This was timely as I am seriously looking at the Polaris 800. The bombardier is being touted as the best ATV ever made. Hmmm....hard to believe and after reading this article, restores the crown to Polaris.

Pastor.. After riding them both.. For my style of riding the Bomb Kicks the chit outta the poo.. if you are a turtle the Poo is prolly better.

 

Ride both. Pick the one that fits you best. I haven't read the article that you cited but I did compare as many different machines as I could get my hands on before I bought my 800 and bought the Polaris. I did the same when we recently bought my wife's X2 and, of course, went with the Polaris again. What will you use the quad for when you get it? If you just have to have the fastest ute out there buy the Bombardier, if you want to do ANYTHING else, buy the Polaris.

 

everyone is going to brand loyal no matter what in most cases anyway. we will all tell you our take on what we think of our 800's but riding one is the best way to tell. besides the bomb may be faster as my friends bf 750 but mine rides a hell of alot better,and is stronger built in my opion.

 

took a look at the BOMB... those tube rack/bumper things dont have near the appeal to me as the Lock and Ride + Storage system. Must offer more towards looking sporty? my .02c

 

I agree that you should ride both and buy whichever you prefer, but that article...

For something using the word "unbiased" in the title, that was the most biased thing I have ever read. Whenever they don't have anything negative to say, they are very "blah" about the Bomb. When its the PoPo's turn, they litter the sentence with vibrant adjectives, creating this wonderful image. Not once did they do that to the Bomb, even when they talked about engine power (where saying the Bomb dominates doesn't even begin to describe it).

I feel truly unbaised, because I don't really like anything either manufacturer has to offer. Seriously, that article reads very biased.

 

Have you ever read a mag article that wasn't biased? Just for fun, read this same thread in the Bomb forum. Some o' them fellars always get abusive pretty quickly showing little or no respect for owners of anything but a Bomb. We seem to be a more civilized crowd over here. I'm aware of the civil nature over here, but I reference the title of the article actually using the word unbiased. I know most articles show bias, but to flat out announce that it is unbiased and then have it be so ridiculously biased is just flat out irritating.
