I noticed yet another locked thread. And some name calling in another. In the words of Rodney King "Cant we just all get along?"
Seriously, though, I find it troubling. If we keep degrading the moral values of this forum, we risk turning it into a fiasco like the Election (don't get me started).
I suggest some 'self imposed' ruled
No Profanity. You may be an adult, but the reader may not be.
No name calling. This gets nothing constructive done. It doesn't bother me when someone says 'Farmr, you were wrong, you must have meant part B instead of part A'. Actually, I like being corrected, I may have been missing out on a better way to do something. What is to be gained by saying 'Farmr, you are a(n)^%$&*&^%^$*$ who doesn't know &$$*&$*& about *&*&%*(%(*. Like mama says, if you can't say something nice...
No machine bashing. Your opinion on my ride may be different than mine, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. If it was that terrible, would I keep it?
And lastly, don't take offense if someone has different performance views than you. I have witnessed some strange race results due to driver skill, and varied terrain. I have seen a guy on a Honda XL125 dirt bike go where 2 CR250s weren't able to. That doesn't mean it will win motorcrosses, just that on that one instance, with that particular driver, it did. Keep in mind, you can have 5 seemingly identical machines with WIDE pervormance differences between them. So don't be offended if someone doesn't have the same opinion you do.
Remember, we are ATVers to have FUN. Being insulted isn't fun.
Thanks for putting up with my rantings.

A guideline had been established a long time ago.

True, but it sometimes a reminder doesn't hurt.

Like I say (but don't always abide by), have a cold one and cool down. Everyone knows Polaris is king, but some people don't like that. Well....so be it!
Have fun guys. I am!

Farmer123's opinion is one of the few I respect on this "name calling" forum.
